Alina has a Master of Science Degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Central Florida where she graduated with Honors from the National Criminal Justice Honors Society and the American Criminal Justice Association. During her 21+year career in the law enforcement arena she spent 12 years as a Crime Scene Investigator, obtaining the qualification as a Certified Senior Crime Scene Analyst with the IAI. She has spent many of those years as an instructor of forensic science and technology topics. She has received recognition from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the Orange County Sheriff’s Office for Investigative skills and is a published author in the Journal of Forensic Identification.
In her crime scene career, Alina worked thousands of cases, including several high-profile violent crimes. Alina is trained in blood stain pattern analysis, bullet trajectory, recovery of buried bodies and documentation of skeletal remains, and is trained to investigate post blast environments including weapons of mass destruction, terrorist bombings, chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear and explosive environments.
In her personal time Alina enjoys honing her culinary skills and is quite the home chef and baker and has even made wedding cakes for more than one friend’s wedding. She also enjoys cars, art and all things music and is happiest when music is playing. You might notice Alina is a fan of tattoos and has a half-sleeve, a full back and a few more here and there…
